Two Meridian Churches Vandalized

Two Churches were vandalized this morning in Meridian. Sunrise Baptist Church located at 114 47th Ave, and MT. Olive Missionary Baptist Church 544 49th Ave, the churches are located within a quater mile of each other. Both churches have been vandalized numerous times over the last month. Sunrise Baptist Church barley has a window left that is not broken. Mt Olive had four to five windows broken.

Church members responded quickly to make repairs so that Church services could continue this morning without hesitation. MT Olive Missionary Church provided a picture of a suspect that was captured on security cameras. If you recognize the individual contact the Meridian Police Department at 601-485-1893.

MPD spotted the suspect in the area of Hooper Street and 5th Street, he fled on foot after spotting the black and white cruiser.
