A little after 6pm tonight two males and a female entered Tractor Supply on Highway 19 in Meridian. The three attempted to possibly shoplift merchandise from the store. It is unclear what transpired between the employee and subjects but the employee was assaulted as the three fled the building. MPD received a call with the description of the vehicle and would soon be in pursuit of the Jeep on Royal Road. The chase would come to an end in the 5800 Block of Mosby Road. At least one person was taken into custody as others fled on foot. Metro Ambulance was called and the employee was taken for medical attention at a local hospital.
