The Meridian Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division and Gang Unit have made several arrests.
Richard A. Joles, 38, was arrested and charged with one count of burglary all but dwelling. This burglary occurred on March 10, 2024 in the 1300 Block of 22nd Avenue. Joles bond is set at $50,000.
Zacarrius Clark, 25, was arrested and charged with two counts of Motor Vehicle Theft, Felony Failure to stop motor vehicle when officers signal, and burglary all but dwelling. Clark was involved in the vehicle chase that occurred on March 24. This chase lead MPD Officers into Kemper County ending after Clark crashed the vehicle into a residence. Clark was not given a bond.
Yahmire Barlow, 16, was arrested and charged with 6 counts of shooting into a vehicle and aggravated assault in connection with the shooting that occurred on February 9, in the 4600 Block of 5th Street. Barlow’s bond is set at $85,000.
Jukeilia Bohannon, 18, was arrested and charged with Accessory after the fact in connection with the murder of JaQualyn Darby. Darby was killed in May of 2022 in the 800 Block of 29th Street. Bohannon’s bond is set at $75,000. This is still an ongoing investigation.
