Suspect At Large - MHP Searching Near Toomsuba

This Mississippi Highway Patrol made a traffic stop this morning near the Mississippi Welcome Center. While the trooper was talking with the driver, the passenger of the vehicle fled on foot. While the troopers were looking for the passenger, the driver left the scene.

Not long afterward the male who fled on foot was spotted at Love's Truck Stop, he then ran back into the woods. While troopers continued to search for the male, the female driver and vehicle came to the store to buy fuel where she was taken into custody and the vehicle was towed.

The male is not considered dangerous but is wanted in Alabama on unknown charges. The description of the subject is a black male, wearing blue jeans, a gray muscle shirt, and tennis shoes.
