RAPE OF 5-YEAR-OLD CHILD SENDS NESHOBA COUNTY MAN TO JAIL FOR 4 LIFE SENTENCES PLUS 125 YEARS

Ten months ago on a cold January Day, Sheriff Eric Clark and his deputies were called to County Road 363, which is south of Philadelphia and due west of Hwy 15. The call was concerning photos of children on a cell phone that was found by a family member in the home. Deputies located Eddie Mowdy, who lived in a camper on the property, he was questioned and arrested. One of the victims was a 5-year-old little girl, below you will read the charges of the awful acts that were done to this child.

Mowdy’s Partner, Odie Wayne Landrum also lived at the residence and disclosed his participation as a photographer/ recorder of the events.

On Monday 10/30/2023, both defendants pleaded guilty in Neshoba County, 8th District Circuit Court. This case was prosecuted by Neshoba County’s District Attorney’s Office. Steven Kilgore, District Attorney, Eighth Judicial District

Eddie Mowdy (60), 10,000 Block of CR Road 363, Union, MS pled guilty to the maximum sentence on 9 felony charges.

1. Sexual Battery- Life Imprisonment

4. Gratification of Lust- 15 Years

6. Gratification of Lust- 15 Years

7. Sexual Battery- Life Imprisonment

8. Exploitation of a Child- 40 Years

9. Exploitation of a Child- 40 Years

4-Life Sentences + 125 years in prison

Odie Wayne Landrum (60) 10,000 Block of CR Road 363, Union, MS pled guilty to:

1. Exploitation of a Child- 30 Years to serve, day for day
