The Neshoba County Sheriff's department has made an arrest in the theft of a truck from The Neshoba County Fairgrounds. In Less than a week deputies and were able to solve a string of car burglaries that occurred at the fair. Six cars in total were broken into and 2022 GMC Sierra was stolen. Last night deputies along with the help of C & M Security were able to catch the thieves in the act of burglarizing a car. One adult female and a male juvenile were captured.
Upon further investigation the thieves would be tied to the other car burglaries and lead investigators to where they hid the stolen truck in the Bogue Chitto community some 22 miles north east of the fair grounds. As the investigation continues more arrest are expected, two hand guns have been recovered, and numerous items taken from cars. The Neshoba County Sheriff's department worked around the clock to solve this case, and as always to protect and serve Neshoba County.
