Neshoba County Arrest Suspect on Terroristic Threats.
On Friday, July 14, 2023, Neshoba County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to a local medical clinic in response to phone threats. The clinic receptionist fielded a phone call, and the caller asked for a company employee (victim). The caller stated the employee should meet him in the parking lot or he was going to come in there and shoot everybody. The victim called the police and reported that she had been receiving threatening messages all afternoon. The clinic closed early, due to the phone threats.
Neshoba County Sheriff’s Deputies canvassed the area on Friday looking for the suspected caller. Deputies were unable to make contact with the caller and patrolled the area extensively during this period. Local security played a large role in the protection of patients and staff, during this time.
On Monday, the suspect began calling and texting from a different phone number. Warrants were issued for Jamal Hollins (32), 234 Zachery Street, Dekalb, MS. Hollins turned himself in to Neshoba Sheriff’s Deputies before 9:00 am on Tuesday morning. Hollins was charged with telephone harassment, making terroristic threats and is currently being held without bond, as it was denied by Justice Court Judge Paul Payne.
