Murder in Meridian - Overnight a black male was shot multiple times in his truck. Around 3:30 am MPD was called to Eastern Gardens for shots fired and found the male with a gun shot wound to the head. More to follow as this story develops.
The Meridian Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred overnight. Officers responded to Eastern Gardens Apartments (200 23rd Street) at 330 am and located a male inside a vehicle with gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. The victim's name is being withheld at this time pending notification next of kin.
