MPD Officers & Staff Help Family in Time Of Need

There is probably not a single one of us that at some point in time in our life weren't down on our luck. It never fails that a washer or dryer breaks or a extra bill comes out of no where that you didn't expect. You may have even thought why me Lord? Until you look around and truly realize how blessed you are. There is always someone who is having a little tougher time than we are. Have you ever passed someone on the street and wondered why they have the biggest smile or a little pep in their step? If you would like to know how it feels to be "The Richest Man in Town", help someone in their time of need.

A big thank you to the Officers and staff from the Meridian Police Department who recently provided food and shelter for a Forest mother and her three children - ages 2, 4 and 6 - who were brought to MPD with everything they owned.

After several attempts for help from other local agencies, MPD's Sgt. Damian Cole, Sgt. Robert Walker, Officer Cameron Moody, front desk clerk Gabby Harmon and MPD Chaplain Carsten Taylor went above and beyond the call of duty to provide the family food and get them out of the cold for the night. Just a not to say thank you for what you do each everyday.
