MPD Gang Unit Arrest Three

The Meridian Police Department’s Gang Unit arrested and charged Dedrick Grady, 29, December 08, 2023, with Aggravated Assault and shooting into a motor vehicle. This incident occurred on November 26, 2023, in the 300 block of Sweet Gum bottom.  His bond was set at $275,000. We are still searching for the second suspect. Daquarrius Williams, 25.

The Meridian Police Department’s Gang Unit and The Meridian Police Department’s Special Operations Unit assisted Denton, TX Police Department in the apprehension of Jakeevian Scott, 18. Scott was arrested for a murder that occurred on September 17, 2023, in the 1800 block of 24th Street. His bond has been set at $1M. The Meridian Police Department would like to thank the Denton Police Department for all their help.

The Meridian Police Department’s Gang Unit arrested, and The Meridian Police Department's Special Operations Unit arrested Calvin C. Wilson, 36, on December 12, 2023, with Aggravated Assault and Weapon, Possession of by Felon. His bond was set at $250, 000 for the aggravated assault and $25,000 for the felon in possession. The incident occurred on December 10, 2023, in the 1500 block of 14TH Avenue. The victim was grazed by the bullet.
