In the overnight hours MPD attempted to make a traffic stop near Virginia Drive. The car fled toward Bonita Lakes Drive, North Frontage Road, over to 29th Ave. The chase ended at 46th Ave and 2nd Street when the drive bailed from the car and ran on foot. The passenger would be apprehended quickly , and the driver would sprint into the darkness down 3rd street. In the end MPD would make the arrest, the driver and passenger would get a ride downtown for a photo op and a nights stay.
More details to follow once MPD completes the investigation and the numerous traffic violations that were broken.
