Christopher Denson Pleds "Guilty" Announces District Attorney Kassie Coleman


District Attorney Kassie Coleman announced that Christopher Denson, 44, pled guilty to the crimes of Second Degree Murder and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon on June 21, 2022. Denson was sentenced by Circuit Judge Charles Wright to serve a term of Forty (40) years without the possibility of parole as a Habitual Offender pursuant to M.C.A. 99-19-81 on the charge of Second Degree Murder and Ten (10) years on the charge of Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. The sentences shall be served consecutively.

Denson was indicted on October 6, 2021, for murdering his uncle, Almond Turner, on November 23, 2019, in Meridian, Mississippi. Turner had previously served his community as a law enforcement officer and school board member in Covington, Georgia.
