This morning at appropriately 5:29 am a 32 year old black male crossed hwy 45 North just south of the Cefco gas station. The male possibly dropped his cell phone and returned to pick it up and was struck by vehicle traveling north. The victim was transported to a local hospital in Meridian. Lauderdale County Coroner, Clayton Cobler confirms the male succumbed to his injuries. Prayers to all involved in this accident this morning.
