4 Year Old Dies From Gunshot in Neshoba County

The Philadelphia Police Department attempted to make a traffic stop of a speeding car in Philadelphia this afternoon. The vehicle stopped at Neshoba General Hospital and had a small child approximately 4 years old suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. The hospital staff did their best to save the child but were unable to. The gunshot came from an unattended handgun and the wound was self-inflicted. The Philadelphia Police Department along with The Neshoba County Sheriff's Department contacted The Choctaw Police Department. The shooting appears to have occurred in the Bogue Chitto Community. The Choctaw Police Department is in control of the investigation at this point.
