3 Arrested on Drug Charges in Neshoba County

On Tuesday, November 28, 2023, Neshoba County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted a safety checkpoint at the intersection of CR 616 and CR 553. The checkpoint netted 6 felony charges along with 6 misdemeanor charges. Officers encountered a 2016 maroon Honda Accord with Lauderdale County registration occupied by three individuals. The traffic stop led to felony possession of controlled substance charges (cocaine) and possession with intent to distribute (methamphetamine). The trio was on their way home from a failed attempt to sell the controlled substance.
