3 Arrested and 1 Wanted in Neshoba County Contraband.
On July 12, 2023, Neshoba County Detention Staff intercepted two packages as they were being brought in to the correctional facility. Daniel Todd Dennington was caught bringing in packages of tobacco, THC vape pens, rolling papers, cigarette lighters, buprenorphine strips, and clear crystal substance consistent with methamphetamine. Dennington had been transported to a local clinic for a medical evaluation. The contraband was concealed in the restroom of the clinic and picked up by Dennington during his visit.
Patrick Atkinson, who is currently a prisoner being held awaiting Mississippi Department of Corrections pickup for a Drug Court violation. Atkinson is charged with 2 counts of Conspiracy to Commit a Crime for coordinating the efforts. Atkinson is responsible for paying for the shipment. During the investigation, audio recordings, video recordings, Flock camera photos, and written statements were gathered to aid in the prosecution of the case.
Cherilyn Devine and Adam Devine Jr. were found to be responsible for the placement of the contraband. Cherilyn Devine was arrested late afternoon on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, and questioned about her involvement in the crime. She was incarcerated and charged with 2 counts of Conspiracy to Commit a Crime for conspiring to introduce drugs into a correctional facility and 1 count of introducing drug contraband into a correctional facility.
Adam Devine Jr. a 27 year old, white male is wanted on 2 felony warrants from Neshoba County Justice Court for 2 counts of Conspiring to Commit a Crime. He was last known to reside at 1549 Young Crossing Road, Louisville, MS. He is known to ride a red motorcycle. The penalty for these crimes are $5,000 fine and 5 years in the Penitentiary for each offense.
